The five member board is responsible for overseeing the expenditures, administration and operation of the volunteer fire department. The Fire board is to make and adopt all budgets, rules and regulations for the purchase of new items and equipment and the use of any material or equipment used and owned by the fire department.

Mary graduated from Indiana Tech with a BS/BA in Business. After working as a college basketball coach, and later high school and college basketball official, she held various administrative positions including with Eastern Mountain Sports. After spending 15 years on the East Coast, I returned to the Midwest and in 2005 moved to Hamilton with my family. After spending summers in Hamilton as a child and being a frequent visitor as an adult, I settled into town to open a business and raise my child.

Mary is now semi-retired after owning Vail Home Services in Hamilton for almost 15 years. She is a dedicated community volunteer who works to enhance life in Hamilton for all and preserve its culture for future generations.
